At Art of Kitchen Tile, we’re not just about renovations; we’re about bringing visions to life. Our recent project with Margaret Josephs stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence and personalized service. Margaret’s kitchen, once a relic of 1956, has been transformed into a modern masterpiece, blending functionality with high-end aesthetics.
Before the Transformation: Imagine a kitchen constrained by an outdated design, featuring a massive brick chimney that split the room in two. The challenge was to modernize this space without losing its soul.
The Vision: Margaret wanted a kitchen that reflected her vibrant personality and could accommodate her love for cooking and hosting. Central to her vision was a spacious island, high-quality materials, and a design that facilitated both culinary creativity and social gatherings.
Our Journey Together: Working closely with Margaret, our team at Art of Kitchen Tile embarked on a journey of transformation. The removal of the chimney opened up the space, immediately altering the room’s dynamics and paving the way for a sleek, oversized island that became the heart of Margaret’s kitchen.
Selecting the Perfect Materials: In collaboration with Dal Tile, we selected a panoramic porcelain surface for the countertops, ensuring durability without compromising on style. The Calcatta Topaz, with its dramatic veins and glossy finish, perfectly accentuated the brass accents Margaret adored.
The Art of Seamless Fabrication: Our expertise in seamless fabrication came into play as we worked with Atlas Marble and Granite to create the illusion of a singular, giant slab. The meticulous book matching of pieces achieved a flawless finish, making the island and countertops not just surfaces, but statement pieces.
A Floor to Adore: Choosing the right flooring was crucial. The Moderna Deco tiles from Dal Tile’s Marble Attache Lavish collection brought an organic yet structured elegance to the space, harmonizing with the overall design.
Custom Cabinets and Brass Accents: To achieve a luxurious look within a reasonable budget, we opted for CNC Cabinetry’s high-quality, stylish finishes. The unexpected choice of Satin Brass for the hardware added a sleek, elevated touch to the soft grey cabinetry.
The Final Touches: No detail was too small in Margaret’s kitchen. From the motorized shades by Somfy to the chic, sleek appliances from the Jenn Air Noir series, every element was carefully chosen to reflect Margaret’s unique style and functional needs.
The Result: A breathtaking kitchen that blends modernity with warmth, functionality with luxury. Margaret’s kitchen is more than just a renovation; it’s a reflection of her personality, a space where creativity and comfort coalesce.
At Art of Kitchen Tile, we pride ourselves on transforming spaces and bringing our clients’ dreams to life. Margaret Josephs’ kitchen is a perfect example of how vision, collaboration, and expertise can create a space that is not only beautiful but truly a heart of the home.
